Some Pictures

My Master Drummer Teacher, Michael

The Music Department Compound. Tis is where they have choir rehearsals, performances, guitar classes. It is pretty much an all-purpose space. It adds to the sense of community in the department. All the faculty offices are in the buildings surrounding the compound.

Hi Dr. Roulet,

Thanks for the great daily updates. It sounds like you are really enjoying the cultural exchange of ideas about music, food and handshakes!

Take care and have a safe trip back home -

Wow I was so excited to come across your blog! I lived in Labone last spring and took classes at the University of Ghana. Have you met John Collins? He's an awesome British guy who has lived in Ghana for years. He's got some interesting commentary on world music and Africa in general.

Hope you are enjoying Ghana! Check out the Dagara Music Center in Medie, it's lots of fun. Also, at the Arts Center in Accra there's a drummer namde Luis Wonder, he is awesome!
